In an effort to "rejoice always" I will be posting thoughts each day about the best part of my day.
4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. Goodbye Guatemala Team 2010
As hard as it was not to be a part of the team that left today, this was by far the highlight of my day. It was so exciting to see my "little" brother Ronnie leading the team, my even "littler" brother Randall headed off on his first international mission trip (besides Mexico, but Mexico doesn't count when you live in So. Cal), and my dad getting the opportunity to do something that he has wanted to do for quite some time and something that he has become quite passionate about recently. I am confident that the Lord is going to use each of them, along with the rest of the team, in amazing ways in the days ahead. I am truly blessed to be part of a family who serves our Savior!
