In an effort to "rejoice always" I will be posting thoughts each day about the best part of my day.
4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. Christmas twirl
So we have this family tradition. That started a very long time ago. And it used to occur every night in December. Then we got older. So now it only occurs on December 1st and Christmas Eve. Tonight it occured a little differently than it ever has before. Half of us at my house and half of us in North Carolina, via Skype. I rejoice in the existence of Skype (that's a bonus rejoice). More importantly, I rejoice in family traditions. And in being able to keep them going even when we can't all necessarily be in the same room.
