Giggles

I didn't blog last night. Oops. I slept over at a friend's and completely forgot. Oh well. Life goes on :) I rejoice in the forgiveness of mistakes. hehe.

Tonight I rejoice in family giggles. Today during Sunday afternoon nap time something happened that caused five of us to be woken up. But, thankfully, we were able to view the situation for the hilarity that it was. Even though disturbing nap time could potentially be quite upsetting, we were able to see the funny side of it. I don't think I've laughed that much in awhile. I also rejoice in the fact that that is how my family chooses to deal with the hard things, with laughter. Laughter makes hard things easier.

Pumpkin Party and Pot Luck

Tonight I rejoice in the super fun morning I had, both at the tots pumpkin party and then being included in the senior adults pot luck. For those who don't know, tots is our church's mom's/preschoolers group that meets every other Thursday. I went today to help a friend out, but of course ended up having a great time.

Tonight I rejoice in the fact that I got a job at Banana Republic. Even more than having a job, I rejoice in the fact that I am fairly certain this one will last longer than my 2 day nanny job. Excited to start on Tuesday! And to be in a place financially where I can enjoy my 50% discount :)

Slobbery Kisses and Baby Dances

Tonight I rejoice in wet. slobbery kisses from Ava girl and watching her dance a silly little dance. I was also treated to a yummy dinner by her mommy who also let me interview her for class. It was a great evening and definitely the best part of my day!

Chik-fil-a Generosity

Tonight I rejoice in the generosity of the local Chik-fil-a and the fact that I can get dinner for a mere $2 any time it rains. So yummy.

Good entertainment

Finally saw this movie today...

Tonight I rejoice in the existence of entertaining, mind blowing movies. I also rejoice in the great company who joined me to see the movie. Good company makes a great movie even better.

Mr. and Mrs. Matt Taylor

Tonight I rejoice in the beautiful wedding of my friends Jenna and Matt. It was such a wonderful afternoon and evening and a privilege and honor to share in their special day.

So today I went to the old site that I used to supervise so I could visit. It was seriously so good to see all my old kiddos and one of my old staff. The excitement on their faces when they saw me was so encouraging. Tonight I rejoice in the unconditional expressions of love I received over and over throughout the afternoon from all those cute lil ones. So good!

Alarm Free Living

Today was one of those days that, although in most ways I'd give anything to have a reason to set my alarm at night, this morning I rejoiced that these days I don't have to. I can just sleep in my cozy bed until I wake up. Which, those of you who know me well know, is a very long time...

An Observant Friend

Tonight I rejoice in the blessing of a great friend, who is also very observant. The giving of a gift, along with a short but sweet convo was definitely the highlight of my day. So this gift that was given was a combination of "thanks for house sitting" and "happy birthday". Here are the reasons why I say my friend is observant.

So first off, the "thanks for house sitting"

Now this great friend of mine noticed when I showed up to house sit that I had my stuff in grocery bags. She was correct in assuming that this is because I didn't really have a good "overnight bag". So she fixed that problem by giving me this adorable bag!

Next is the "happy birthday"

These pictures don't really do it justice but, this friend also knows how much I love cute jewelry and therefore also need cute things to put jewelry in on the go. Both things only an observant friend would notice. 

Lastly, this friend, who is my "chick flick buddy" knows it's been awhile since we've had a chick flick date and plans to fix that problem, by giving me movie tickets. Can't wait to go see some cute movie with her! And then cry with her after as she lets me share my heart with her:)

These gifts have been "at home" and "in the car" for quite some time, with my friend, and her "not quite on top of things" husband both frequently mentioning that they need to give it to me. But God knew exactly when I would need them as a little "boost" in my life. And today was definitely the day!

Sister Movie Date

Tonight I rejoice in the spur of the moment movie date I had with my sister. A good time was had by all :)

She finally loves me

Tonight I rejoice in the fact that Ava Jean Cox finally doesn't get mad, but instead is happy to see me, when I show up to babysit. Today when I got to her house to hang out with her she didn't scream or give me a yucky face, but instead actually seemed happy to see me. I think it's because I've spent enough time lately hanging out with her AND her momma at the same time:) That was most definitely the best part of my day.

Music

Tonight I rejoice in the existence of music, especially as a way to worship our Savior. Life would be so boring without music and I would have to say that the best part of my day today was praise and worship time at high school group tonight. I have also just been extra thankful for music in and of itself recently.

Clean house and cute decor

Tonight I rejoice in my wonderful mommy! She came over and helped me give my house a good, deep cleaning. And, even more fun she helped me put up my cute fall decor, most of which was from her for my birthday last year. Here's a few pics of my favorite decor...

Any of you are welcome at my house anytime. I love having people over and rejoice in the blessing of having my own place to even decorate, and especially in the fact that I have been able to stay here so long while not having a job. God is good!

Best Friend Time and An Encouraging Email

Tonight I rejoice in last minute best friend hang out time. Those are always the best :) I also rejoice in a very encouraging email that I received earlier in the evening. God can use the randomest yet greatest things to remind us of his love for us AND that there are people who care about us :)

Girl's day...plan B

So tonight was supposed to be the night I rejoiced in the great time I had at the Rascal Flatt's concert...except it was postponed cause one of them is sick. So, instead I'm rejoicing in the fact that us girls came together and came up with a plan b. And, we got to include Melanee and Ash since tickets weren't involved. I had a very fun afternoon and evening with my mom, my sisters, my sis in law, and good friends who are practically family:) We made super yummy stuffed bell peppers and had a great time enjoying one another's company. Jewelry

I had a jewelry party tonight. So, I'm really tired and ready for bed. But, I'm rejoicing in all the free jewelry I am going to get in a couple weeks. So fun!

Helping a friend and talking youth

Tonight I rejoice in the chance to help a good friend with some stuff for work. Some may say that the job I had to do, entering random info into a database, is monotonous and boring. But, after having gone so long without a job, it felt good to know I was doing something worthwhile and I actually kind of enjoyed it. I like paying attention to detail and making sure things are done correctly. I also rejoice in our monthly youth leaders meeting. Planning and dreaming with others who love Jesus AND high school students is one of my favorite places to be. It makes two hour long meetings seem to go by quickly :)

Groceries!

It's funny how having a fridge full of groceries feels so good. But, it does, so that's what I'm rejoicing in tonight. And, since I haven't had pics in a few days, I even took a picture of my full fridge :)

Sister Starbucks Date

Yes, I didn't blog last night. But, I have a good excuse. My sister was borrowing my computer so it actually wasn't even possible for me to blog. Tonight though, I rejoice in the chance to spend some fun time with that very same sister at Starbucks this afternoon. We took some silly pics and had a generally enjoyable time. And, we enjoyed yummy fall drinks, her treat, so that's worth rejoicing in! So thankful my sister are not only family, but also friends.

Laughter

Laughing with good friends is definitely worth rejoicing in. But, since we stayed up past 2:30 in the morning laughing, that is all you get from me tonight :)

Girl Time!

Tonight I rejoice in the opportunity to spend the weekend with tons of amazing women from church. The weekend has just begun so there hasn't been a ton of time for fun and meaningful conversations, though I am certain much of that will come in the next two days. I rejoice in the fact that God created fellowship as an important part of our growth and Christian walk.
